September 29 was officially the first day of filming for the America’s Got Talent spin off, AGT: Extreme. This show hopes to bring some of the more daring acts to a larger stage to compete for the prize. The show has gone out of its way to hide the identities of the judges joining Simon Cowell, but we finally know Nikki Bella and Travis Pastrana will join him on the panel.
Meet the Judges Joining Simon Cowell on ‘AGT: Extreme’ Filming in Atlanta Now
There are a lot of theories about this upcoming show, but let’s begin with what we now know. We know for a fact that they are currently filming at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA. We also know that Simon Cowell will be one of the judges on this show, which makes sense since he owns the Got Talent franchise. Now, we finally know who the judges are in this series.
The two judges other than Simon Cowell are WWE star Nikki Bella and Motorsports competitor Travis Pastrana. These judges are very far off from who fans thought it would be, but I’m happily surprised.
After a health scare, Simon Cowell lost over 60 pounds on a plant-based diet. Simon Cowell’s doctor claimed following a health scare, “You have the worst diet [of] any patient I’ve ever met.” That’s when America’s Got Talent’s famously severe judge resolved to overhaul his eating habits.
Meet the Judges of AGT: Extreme
Bella is a retired WWE superstar and WWE Hall of Famer. She is arguably one of the biggest female names in the history of the sport. If you’re an avid fan of Dancing With The Stars, you might remember that she competed in 2017. In her DWTS year, she was partners with Artem Chigvintsev, with whom she now has a son. The two plan to tie the knot in November.
For those who don’t know, Travis Pastrana is a 17 time X Games medalist and runs the traveling motocross series, Nitro Circus. In his lengthy career, he also has credits for recreating three of Evil Knievel’s stunts in Las Vegas and has driven in NASCAR on and off. Considering the large stage aspect of AGT: Extreme, I bet we will see some daredevil acts that he’ll be able to flawlessly judge.
Fans really thought that Julianne Hough and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would be judging the series. Hough posted a photo in front of a trailer and the rumors flew from there.
Anyone who knows this professional dancer knows that she’s extremely busy right now. I didn’t put much thought into this post, but some people on the internet looked at her Instagram following and saw that she recently began following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Instagram. I have no idea why people assumed The Rock was involved in the show, but I would have loved to see him.
Even after Terry Crews recently revealed that his contract with AGT is up, it was revealed the fan-favorite will host this series. Fans saw a TikTok of him running and immediately knew that he was running through the streets of Atlanta, GA.
Is AGT Alum Deadly Games Apart of the Show?
If the producers are really trying to keep this series a secret, they’re not doing very well. Deadly Games literally posted a picture of themselves at the Atlanta Motor Speedway with a camera in front of them. Even though there has been no information of Deadly Games since taping yesterday, it’s possible they’re either performing or competing.
We can’t wait to see Nikki Bella and Travis Pastrana join Cowell and Crews for this exciting new spin-off. An air date for the show has not yet been released, but will likely occur in early 2022 considering they’ve only begun taping this week. The show was originally slated to premiere this past summer.
